Trap and transgender manga

It shows a huge contrast between someone with strong morals and a family with no morals. Trap is a bad term implying trans people or crossdressers are these malevolent forces that want to trick people when theyre usually just living their lives. They either dress like the women of their culture and are male or they dress like the men of their culture and are female. The LGBT community should take it as a positive move that anime fandom loves this character type and uses the term affectionately. Here's a list of all the trap characters that immediately come to mind, and their reasons for becoming "traps". Ignorance can only by overcome by yourself so unless you take a step back and stop thinking you know the answers already, you're never gonna learn anything.

Why “Trap” Is A Bad Term

Yes I do indeed, it adds at least some extra depth to their character and could even lead to some dramatic moments though I've yet to see it. I think the main problem is that within the world of anime that avoiding dehumanization is actually seen as a positive. Take each character as their own case, not beholden to one all-defining label. That said, I can see asshole neckbeards calling trans people traps. Dressed in a kimono with his hair down, Haku even fooled Naruto who thought Haku was more beautiful than Sakura! Even the words used in Japanese to describe these characters are identical to the ones used for real life Japanese transgender people and those words do not translate to "trap". Sorry but the dictionary disagrees with anyone saying that "traps" are not trans.

Ergo calling them traps is a transphobic act. Does that make him transphobic op? Outside of those kinds of context it is simply stating a position about real life transwomen who pass and convince as if they do it to fool you. It's a goofy, fun series, but the message seems to be that Hibari is just fine as is, it's society that needs to change. In anime-verse at least. The idea that they are the same is borderline bigoted. Along the way, they will discover more about themselves than they ever cared to admit.
